We have a special program at Tuff Start Rescue called "forever fosters".  We always want our animals to find their forever homes but sometimes things prevent that from happening. For a variety of reasons, we don't adopt out animals in our forever foster program. Typically, these animals require more vet visits and more medical care. We want to ensure that they receive that care for the rest of their lives while remaining forever with their incredibly dedicated, loving foster families.
​The animals in this special group range from those in need of extensive, chronic medical care or seniors in hospice, to those that were initially fearful/undersocialized but have blossomed over the years in their loving foster homes (moving them to start over just simply wouldn't be fair to them) or some with certain behavioral issues.
